Marian Alston

Marian Alston is a viewpoint character and central heroine in the Island in the Sea of Time series. She is a black lesbian and was captain of the Eagle. Her domestic partner is Swindapa and they have three adopted children, Heather, Lucy and have to look it up.

She was previously married and had two children that were left uptime after the Event. She lost custody of the children when her former husband threatened to out her to the Coast Guard.
