Zak

The Zak are a diminutive people who rule a kingdom along what was once the Volga river. In the changed world of the Fifth Millenium, the Zak often have sorcerous powers, which at one time allowed them to have a great empire that spread (need to find quote from The Cage, chapter on Shamballa)

They are now minorities all along the Brezhan river, which winds from the Svartzee (The former Black Sea) to F'talezan the capital city of the Zak. In F'talezon the current DragonLord Ranion is the absolute ruler of the Zak, and completely insane.

There is a map of Europe in the front of The Cage that shows the shapes of the landmasses and seas and the location of F'talezan.
